Mass Effect 2 coming to Xbox 360, PCs (and more?)

Former Xbox 360 exclusive Mass Effect 2 is now "mostly exclusive" as a PC version (and possibly more) have been confirmed by BioWare.

When EA acquired BioWare, many assumed it meant exclusive titles like Mass Effect (and their confirmed sequels) would be ported to as many consoles as possible in the tried and true EA tradition. They were half right.

For the time being, Mass Effect 2 will be launched as an exclusive Xbox 360 title, said BioWare senior manager Matt Atwood in an interview with CVG. But that could soon change, given Atwood's recent comments.

"I believe we'll be Xbox 360 exclusive for at least a short period of time," Atwood said. "We're still working out the details on that, but we've had a great relationship with Microsoft and done very well."

This is all still relatively unconfirmed, and Microsoft has yet to weigh in on the future of one of its flagship Xbox 360 titles, but what is known today is that a PC version is all but certain to follow in the footsteps of Mass Effect 2.

"I think you'll see a PC version not too far away," Atwood said. "We haven't solidified the plans yet but we're headed in the direction where we want to be as close as possible [on PC]," he said.

just finished my first run through of Mass Effect ... and I have to say .... I am astounded . Many many years ago there was a game for the genesis that was eerily similar ... star something or other ... i wish now that I could remember . But Ever since I played that game I have been looking for another game like it ... and now , finaly along comes mass effect . This game is one of the best I have played on the 360 and EASILY my favourite hands down . I even neglected my GTA 4 on my PS3 because this game was so very engrossing . I await its sequel eagerly as I will pre order it as soon as I am able .... can not WAIT for it. Also ... anyone who says this game is not worth the hype surrounding it and that PS3 owners should just forget it ... obviously has no pulse or interest in the type of people this game is aimed at . You cannot compare this game to a JRPG like Final Fantasy ... and to be honest .... I do not know if i will ever look at other RPGs in the same way after playing this . Sure it has its drawbacks and areas that could have used some more tweaking ... but ... If you are like me and own all three consoles then do yourself a favour and snatch this game up soon as you will be happy you did

I would love to play this game and the first one too, it looks like an amazing rpg.

I loved the first one and can't wait for the second one. and I'm not suprised that it won't be an exclusive for 360.
