Capcom on Wednesday unveiled the latest Street Fighter IV challenger: El Fuerte, which of course in German means "the giant whale." Kidding, it's Spanish for Mr. Strong! (More accurately, "The strong one.")
The new character is a male luchador wrestler, sporting a purple wrestling singlet and white mask with blue stars. Lucha libre (Spanish for "free fight") wrestlers are well known for their high-flying acrobatics off the tight ropes and turnbuckles.
Previously, Viper (an American female fighter that looks like Pink) and Abel (a mysterious French ninja) have been the only new characters announced for Street Fighter IV, in addition to expected returns from Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li. The 2.5-D fighter is scheduled for release later this year on still unannounced systems.
