Capcom confirms new Lost Planet game in the works, details coming next week.
"I said, take them down--now."
A full list of achievements for the rumored sequel to Capcom's out-of-this-world shooter Lost Planet hit the web today, only to be hastily pulled down at the publisher's request.
The company coldly called for the retraction after details surfaced on the game entitled Lost Planet: Colonies. As consolation an unnamed representative assured, "Information on Capcom's new Lost Planet title will be coming next week."
A search on the ESRB official website shows board has already issued a rating of Teen (T) for the game. The rating comes with three content descriptors for animated blood, violence, and mild language--something likely heard around Capcom offices today as they dealt with today's unintended leak.
PlayStation 3 owners may have more than a few mild words for the publisher if the ESRB posting--which only lists Xbox 360 and PC versions--is to be taken as proof that the game won't be colonizing Sony's console. Such a move would be surprising given the company's insistence on multi-platform development. President Haruhiro Tsujimoto stated in October of last year that Capcom would be moving to bolster support of PlayStation 3 with new titles.
