It's official: Resistance 2 coming to PS3 this fall

Insomniac Games on Friday confirmed the release of Resistance 2 for PS3 to go head-to-head with Gears of War 2 on Xbox 360 this fall.

The brief announcement was made in a press release today, though additional details of the first-person sequel were sadly absent.

An Insomniac video released on Wednesday ambiguously suggested that a Resistance 2 demo will hit the PS3 in July, though this is an unconfirmed rumor for now.
