Call of Duty 4 dominates AIAS achievement awards

Activision's modern warfare shooter took top honors in several categories on Thursday at the 11th annual Interactive Achievement Awards, one of video game's most prestigious award shows.
Call of Duty was praised for its online leveling system and named overall game of the year. Additionally, the acclaimed first-person shooter took home console game of the year, best action game, and best online game.
BioShock, nominated an unprecedented 12 times, won awards for art direction, story, music, and sound, while Half Life 2: The Orange Box was named best PC game of 2007. Portal, in particular, was honored for its game design, character performance, and gameplay.
The Interactive Achievement Awards are put on by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences at the D.I.C.E. summit every year in Las Vegas. Winners are selected by a group of designers, developers, and critics. Other awards included:

- Graphics: Crysis
