"We're very excited to announce FaceBreaker, an all-new franchise from EA Sports that is fun, fresh and innovative," said Peter Moore, president of EA Sports. "FaceBreaker reinvigorates one of the great genres in sports videogames: arcade boxing."

Being developed by the same team that created Final Night Round 3, FaceBreaker encourages players to "rediscover the joy of pummeling" with "real-time facial deformation." Fictionalized characters partly include "a Latin lover known for his pelvic thrusts," and "an oversized Russian demolitions expert with a penchant for fighting dirty."

The game will also ship with a face editing tool that lets you upload a picture of your good looks to recreate your likeness as a digital doppleganger. FaceBreaker is scheduled for release on Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 in 2008.
