Smash Bros. Brawl gets a rare perfect endorsement

Famitsu of Japan dishes a flawless review score for the seventh time in the magazine's 22 year history.

Scans of the Super Smash Bros. Brawl review surfaced on NeoGAF on Wednesday, revealing the perfect rating while simultaneously raising the expectations of patient gamers everywhere.

Famitsu is considered the most respected video game magazine in Japan, despite recent accusations that the publication has begun raising review scores to appease advertisers.

The six previous games to receive perfect scores include Final Fantasy XII (2006, PS2), Nintendogs (2005, DS), Zelda: Wind Waker (2003, GCN), Vagrant Story (2000, PS1), Soulcalibur (1999, Dreamcast), and Zelda: Ocarina of Time (1998, N64).

Super Smash Bros. Brawl is available March 9 on Wii.
