Eidos Interactive said on Monday that it has begun work on Deus Ex 3, the second sequel to the critically acclaimed first-person shooter with role playing elements first released in 2000.
The game is being developed by the newly announced Eidos Montreal, though no release date was given.
"Deus Ex is one of our finest franchises, often cited as one of the best PC games of all time," said Rob Murphy, managing director at Eidos. "By developing this game at our new cutting-edge Montreal studio we have the opportunity to really push the boundaries of expectation for Deus Ex 3."
