Devs promise a better Hellgate with more patches

Flagship Studios continues to address Hellgate woes.

"We realize many of you are experiencing a variety of problems," Flagship Studios said in a statement to gamers on its official web forums. "Some of these are issues which will be fixed as soon as possible and go live in upcoming patches, some will be in our upcoming content patch, and others are issues on which we will make gradual improvements to on a continuous basis."

Hellgate: London, released on Oct. 31 and developed by several ex-Blizzard/Diablo employees, has been plagued with several known bugs including unauthorized billing for subscriptions, memory crashes, freezing menu screens, and random disconnects.

According to developers, several issues have already been fixed and the team plans to continually work in solving the various other issues in addition to general game improvements.

Additionally, Hellgate's gameplay has been widely criticized, something Flagship Studios CEO Bill Roper discussed with us in a recent interview. GamePro gave the game a 3 out of 5 review score.
