Nintendo unveils level editor for Smash Bros. Brawl

Nintendo on Monday said that Super Smash Bros. Brawl will include a user-generated "stage builder," similar to Halo 3's Forge.

The newly unveiled level editor gives players the freedom to select the stage size, background pattern, and music in addition to placing platforming elements throughout a custom stage.

Players can then send custom stages to a friend or submit them to Nintendo which will in turn feature the best user-created levels on a daily basis. Levels can be saved on either the Wii's internal 512mb memory or with an SD card.

With the recent announcement of the "save films" feature, Super Smash Bros. Brawl is slowly starting to look like Nintendo's humble answer to Microsoft's Halo 3 -- only cuter, with less gritty voices, and of course an E rating.
