The above image, published on Double Fine's project page, clearly shows the Psychonauts logo in addition to Raz, the game's protagonist. The graphic is accompanied with "coming soon," confirming at least some form of a new series game, though not necessarily a sequel.

The original Psychonauts, released on Xbox, PS2, and PC in 2005, was a whimsical adventure game developer by Tim Schafer who was also responsible for Grim Fandango. Though a commercial flop, Psychonauts was well received by both gamers and critics alike catapulting it as a top sleeper hit of last generation.

UPDATE: False alarm said series creator Tim Schafer in a statement made on Tuesday. The company is merely readying a new web page for the game; nothing more, nothing less.
