Sega of America quelled rumors on Monday that Nights 2 would be delayed until some time next year. In actuality, the game will ship Dec. 18 for Wii.
"Nights: Journey of Dreams delivers a reinvented A-life system, online capabilities and a rich storyline, delivering a truly spectacular flight-based action adventure experience," said Sega's director of marketing in a statement.
"Appealing to the imagination of gamers of all ages, Nights: Journey of Dreams is on track to become one of the most innovative Wii games on the Wii platform," he boldly added.
The sequel to the Sega Saturn cult classic features seven worlds, motion-based controls (although early previews didn't support this), and is rated E.

It's a good thing Smash Bros. Brawl was delayed... for Sega that is. But I'll admit it -- I was enamored with Nights on Saturn. Here's hoping Sega, which has a tendency to mess up its franchises, doesn't botch this one.
