Racing Mario in the Olympic Games just wasn't enoughSonic apparently wants to bash the plucky plumber over a cliff just to be thorough.
Well, at the very least he'll try anyway, as it was disclosed over at the Smash Bros Dojo today that Sonic the Hedgehog -- in all his blue furred, bad voice acting glory -- would be joining the cast of Super Smash Bros. Brawl.
With an arsenal of speedy basic moves and Saturday morning cartoon one-liners at his disposal, Sonic is sure to give Mario and the rest of the growing cast a run for their money when Smash Bros. launches in the U.S. this December (pun intended). His special moves have yet to be disclosed, but if you're the wagering type you'd be wise to guess they're probably based on jumping, spinning in place or multi-tailed woodland creatures.
On a less speedy note, Japanese readers will have to wait for their Sonic fix, as Nintendo disclosed this week that the title has lost all its rings and will be delayed there until January 24.
