Activision encores Guitar Hero III setlist

Activision on Wednesday expanded the Guitar Hero III play list to a total of 59 songs in addition to unlockable and downloadable tracks.

Rather than solely use cover tracks, Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock promises more master recordings than ever before by original artists. Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3 versions will include online multiplayer while 360 and PS3 versions additionally include downloadable tracks for a fee.

Activion also confirmed new wireless guitar controllers for each platform including a Gibson Les Paul for the Xbox 360, Wii, and PS3, and a Gibson Kramer for PS2. The Wii controller supports rumble as gamers will insert the Wii Remote into the body of the faux guitar.

Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock launches on Oct. 28 for $99 on Xbox 360 and PS3, $89 for Wii and PS2, and $79 on PC and Mac.
