Speculation: BioShock launching on Wii, PS3 in 2009

Given BioShock's hit success, 2K Games would be crazy not to release the shooter as a multiplatform title on Wii and PS3 says one analyst.
Though pulled from pure conjecture air, analyst Mike Hickey predicts that 2K Games will take BioShock multiplatform in an effort to offset financial woes provided by management turnaround and the delay of Grand Theft Auto 4.
In a research note to investors, Hickey writes that 2K should and will realize the "franchise potential" of BioShock across multiple platforms including PS2, PS3, Wii, and handhelds.
"Strong recent product releases like BioShock and the upcoming seasonally strong retail holiday sales period has seemingly eased some of the market's liquidity concerns for the Company," Hickey said. Translation: 2K will likely milk BioShock for all its worth.
While rumors have long existed that BioShock would at least launch on PS3, Hickey's statements are as far away from official as you can get.
2K was not immediately available for comment when contacted by GamePro.
