Epic president Mark Rein said on Tuesday that Unreal Tournament 3 for Xbox 360 will likely have less game content than its PS3 counterpart due to Microsoft's limiting disc size.

"We'll compress some things. But you know, we may have fewer maps on the 360 version... Blu-Ray has definitely given us a lot of legroom," Rein said while speaking at the Edinburgh Interactive Festival.

He added, "If you think down the road, well maybe the next UT beyond this one, on Blu-Ray disc, we might fill the whole damn disc with all the cool stuff the mod makers make."

In addition to confirming both Sixaxis support and the exclusive November release on PS3, Rein also dished on PC/PS3 multiplayer possibilities.

"I'd say it's unlikely...there's no technical reason you can't do it, there's a lot of reasons why it might not make sense [such as varying gameplay speeds]... that's not to say we'll never have it, but I don't believe we're going to ship with it as a feature."

THE VERDICT by Blake Snow Blake Snow's Avatar Ah, the disc space wars! Wait, are there really disc space wars? "My disc media holds more capacity than your disc media!!!" This is really getting bad... Regardless, I'm sure the 360 version will be just as fun when it's released a year later.
