Pirates repackage GameCube games as Wii titles

In an effort to bolster sales in light of the widely popular Wii, some Filipino pirates are selling GameCube games dressed up as Wii games to unsuspecting players not familiar with Nintendo's fourth-generation home console.

Filipino website GameOPS found games like Luigi's Mansion, Metroid Prime 2: Echoes, and The Legend of Zelda: Wind Waker copied onto DVD discs and repackaged as Wii games.

Copyright pirates have also been known to do the same for b-movies being released as legitimate sequels such as Anaconda 4 and Breakfast Club 3 according to tongue-in-cheek Wii Fanboy.
