Ninja Gaiden creator and Team Ninja boss Tomonobu Itagaki was critical of Sony's upcoming action game, however, in an interview with Electronic Gaming Monthly.

"I've never played a good game where the developers put a big icon of the button you're supposed to press onscreen," said Itagaki. "I look at Heavenly Sword and it seems really half-assed, because it's asking you to do all these button-timing sequences but you are not getting much pay-off from it."

Both Resident Evil 4 and God of War 2 use on-screen button prompts. A demo for Heavenly Sword is currently available as a download from the PlayStation Store.

Sony also said on the company's PlayStation blog that it would price the multiplayer Warhawk at $59.95 for Blu-ray and $39.95 as a download on the PlayStation Network. The Blu-ray edition comes bundled with a Bluetooth headset for voice chat and expanded video content whereas the download features the game only.

THE VERDICT by Blake Snow Blake Snow's Avatar I don't know why the Ninja Gaiden boss is trippin' out; on screen button prompts are a nice and proven way to play games when used wisely. And why all the hate? I love the (short) Heavenly Sword demo. Also, $40 for Warhawk seems a bit pricey being that it's a download and is multiplayer only.
