Microsoft unveils Big Button Pad for casual gamers

Microsoft showed a new, casual gamer controller on Tuesday night dubbed the Big Button Pad for Xbox 360.

The controller won't initially be available on its own, rather four of them will be included with the upcoming Scene It game on Xbox 360. The title is an adaptation of the highly popular DVD trivia game and will debut later this year for $60, including the four controllers.
The announcement comes as Microsoft aims to appeal more to family-based and casual gamers, presumably given the recent success of Nintendo's family friendly Wii.
It should be interesting to see how well both the product and game is received given the console's traditional core gamer audience.
