While the whole of North America is waiting with unbearable anticipation to hear any new details regarding Grand Theft Auto IV, it appears that a Turkish Xbox magazine may have beaten everyone else to the punch. A recent post on Xbox Live Addicts claims that this magazine has listed a number of new features to appear in the title, which has quickly become one of the most heavily-awaited games to be released this year almost overnight.
The post outlines the following features as being completely new:
Each step by your character causes a slight vibration in the controller.
No more HUD, meaning no more health or armor indicators. All damage will be gauged solely on the appearance of your character, and armor will come in the form of bulletproof vests that can also be visually damaged before becoming unusable.
Simple exterior damage will no longer make a vehicle explode. To blow up a vehicle, one must use an actual explosive device.
Your character will not tire from running. Apparently, Niko can run forever, but he will experience a gradual decrease in speed depending on how long he runs.
Time is now a more important factor in the game. Not accomplishing goals by a specific time may limit certain missions.
The game is now bloodier and more realistic, as bullet wounds will now be visible and damage to certain areas of the body will affect their movement and actions. And apparently, running over a pedestrian will be much more disturbing than in previous games.
Girlfriends, eating, and fitness have been eliminated, but certain skills will improve over time, which introduces more RPG elements to the game.
100% completion will offer gamers a lot more extras.
The total land mass of the game will be bigger than the three major cities of San Andreas combined.
The graphics will feature a much better draw distance than Saints Row.
The post also confirms that the new GTA IV trailer will be available on the internet starting on June 28th.
