2K Sports is looking to make an impact on the market with All-Pro Football 2K8, which represents the company's highly-publicized return to the genre of football simulation games. And although the game's roster already includes over 200 of the game's most famous players from years past, the company has specifically chosen three of the biggest names in football history to represent the game on the cover.

The cover will be painted to show all three athletes in their prime.

Anchoring the center of the cover will be legendary Broncos quarterback John Elway, the only quarterback to have led his team to five different Super Bowls. To his left will be San Fran's incomparable wide receiver Jerry Rice, who will be accompanied by his three Super Bowl rings. And on the right side will be Barry Sanders, who, despite what some might call a premature retirement, still manages to hold third place in the record books with 15,269 career rushing yards.

In other related All-Pro Football news, 2K Sports also recently announced that the soundtrack to the game wil feature music from DJ Z-Trip, pioneer in the mashup style of hip-hop. The soundtrack, entitled simply All Pro, will feature an eclectic mix of original tracks, remixes, and "mashups", or engineered mixtures of already recorded songs. Z-Trip will also be embarking on a summer tour to promote the retail version of the soundtrack, which will be produced by 2K Sports and Decon Records.

2K has not revealed an exact release date for All-Pro Football 2K8, but has at least confirmed that it will be available on Xbox 360 and PS3 sometime this summer.
