The makers of World of Warcraft and StarCraft have announced that attendees of this year's BlizzCon will be receiving, in addition to the usual swag, a beta key to an "upcoming Blizzard game".

Especially after the recent announcement of StarCraft 2, the sequel to one of the most enduring and popular online games of all time, real time strategy gamers and MMORPG fans alike are foaming at the mouth in anticipation of Blizzard Entertainment's BlizzCon 2007. But convention attendees may have even more to look forward to than information and gaming fellowship, according to a divulgence posted Monday on Blizzard's website.

The post states that attendees will be receiving free Blizzard swag, including "a beta key for an upcoming Blizzard game." WOW Insider notes that the beta keys in question may indeed be for Starcraft 2, but also considers that they could possibly be meant for the next World of Warcraft expansion pack. Regardless of which game it will be for, all attendees of the convention have also been guaranteed a pass code to unlock a virtual murloc suit (pictured right) for their WoW character.

The first BlizzCon was organized in 2005, though the absence of the successful convention last year left fans disappointed. As GamePro reported earlier in April, BlizzCon 2007 will return to Anaheim, CA on August 3rd and 4th, and will feature discussion panels with Blizzard developers, competitive gaming tournaments, live orchestral performances of music from Blizzard games, and information on Blizzard's upcoming titles.
