A small number of Xbox 360 owners may have noticed lately that their attempts to purchase last week's release for Xbox Live Arcade have been met with maddening frustration. According to the official Xbox forums, some gamers that have already paid to upgrade from the trial version of the toy car racing game Mad Tracks still find themselves locked out of the extra tracks exclusive to the full version.
Xbox fan site Xboxic recently reported that Load inc, the Paris-based development studio behind the game, has recognized the glitch and has already produced a patch to completely fix the problem. In fact, Load inc developer "Slyben" posted a message on the Xboxic forums, stating that the patch is now in the hands of Microsoft and is still awaiting the green light for distribution.
At the time of this report, the patch is currently unavailable, as Microsoft is assuredly still working to resolve the matter. The company also has not yet announced which title it will be releasing for this Wednesday's XBLA update. Whether the release of the Mad Tracks has affected this week's upcoming title is still unknown, but GamePro will keep you updated as soon as word from Microsoft reaches us.
