A new patch for Sony's MotorStorm will be introduced in early June, which will add a new play mode, as well as fix several issues within the game.

According to a recent announcement from Sony, new downloadable content will be available to MotorStorm users starting June 7th. And the good news is that it will all be free of charge.
The most notable change to be found in this upgrade package will be the addition of a Time Attack mode, in which players will be able to race against their best performances, which will be represented by transparent ghosts. These ghost laps will also be automatically uploaded to MotorStorm's leader boards, and can be compared to the laps of other players across the world. For an added change of pace, gamers will be able to download ghost laps from friends, and will subsequently be able to race against seven ghosts at a time in any given race.
Apart from Time Attack mode, this new update will contain the following features:
Game List Improvement - The "game status" of a hosted session will now be displayed in the online lobby.
Host ID - Hosts will be identified by a host icon, which will be visible to all gamers in a particular session.
Boost Exploit - A bug that once allowed players to exploit the boost system has been resolved.
Buddy List Size - Gamers can now have a list that supports up to 50 friends.
Text Cut-off - All messages will be displayed in full on standard-def TV sets.
Improved Stability Online - Obviously, the stability of online gameplay has been improved.
Audio Issues - Issues with 5.1 and 7.1 surround sound, as well as audio issues within the front-end have been resolved.
Player Ranking - A bug, which incorrectly ranked certain players, has now been fixed, but unfortunately, all online rankings will be reset.
Auto-start - Races will be forcibly started after the end of a fixed countdown, but hosts have a chance to delay this countdown up to three times.
Save Data Corruption - Previously, quitting the game through the PS button may have resulted in the corruption of save data. The bug will be fixed with this update.
Lobby Information - Lap details and upcoming track information will be shown in the online lobbies.
Vehicle Damage - At certain times, damage would still appear on a vehicle even after death camera sequences, which has since been fixed.
Missing Audio - A bug that would delete audio effects during certain death camera sequences has also been fixed.
Name Tags - Pressing L1 now toggles player name tags on and off during online races.
