After following the bouncing news snippets for the past few months, you may have already heard that the Video Games Live concert tour will be playing during the E for All Expo. But for those not currently in the know, GamePro has received the formal press announcement, so we can bring you guys up to speed by telling you that the concert will be held at the 7000-seat Nokia Theater in downtown Los Angeles on October 19th, 2007. Serving as a backdrop to the event will be the rest of the E for All Expo, which is scheduled for October 18th through the 21st at the Los Angeles Convention Center.

The Video Games Live tour's primary goal is to recreate beloved video game tunes through the aid of a full-sized symphony orchestra and choir, but visual effects, including exclusive video footage, synchronized lighting, live action, and audience interactivity will also serve to enhance the experience.

"We're thrilled to offer Video Games Live at E for All," said Mary Dolaher, newly-appointed CEO of IDG World Expo. "Our show is about bringing people together in one place to experience for themselves all the elements -- business and creative -- that go into games. Video Games Live brilliantly showcases the complexity of the game as an artistic medium. It's more than just playing games; it's about how the games touch us on so many levels -- both visual and audio."

As for admission to the performance, gamers that purchase an advance-ticket for the E for All Expo will automatically secure a concert seat for themselves in the reserved VIP section. However, all other interested parties will have the opportunity to buy tickets to the event starting on June 1st. Those interested in finding more about advance-ticket sales and general admission tickets are encouraged to head over to www.videogameslive.com and www.eforallexpo.com for further information.
