Yes, we know he's had better roles than this, but this was such an easy image to find...
Bethesda Softworks today announced the signing of veteran actor Liam Neeson to lead the voice cast of their upcoming title Fallout 3. A highly-regarded actor with countless blockbuster movies under his belt, Neeson can be most easily recognized for his roles in Star Wars: Episode I, The Chronicles of Narnia, Batman Begins, and countless other critically and commercially successful films. In the upcoming Fallout sequel, Neeson will be assisting with his voice talents by playing the pivotal role of the player's as-of-yet unnamed father, who will make prominent appearances throughout the course of the game.
"This role was written with Liam in mind, and provides the dramatic tone for the entire game," said Bethesda executive producer Todd Howard. "Liam is absolutely amazing to work with."
"It's been a pleasure bringing the father to life and working with the wonderfully talented people at Bethesda on Fallout 3," stated Neeson on playing the title role. "I hope the fans of the franchise and the game will be excited by the results."
Fallout 3 is the first official sequel to the Fallout franchise in almost a decade, and will be in the development hands of Bethesda Softworks, the same developers responsible for the hugely successful title The Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion and its recent expansion pack, Shivering Isles.
Fallout 3 is currently in development for the PC, but no release date has yet been confirmed.
