Vicarious Visions is set to release not one, but two games for the Nintendo DS based on the upcoming summer blockbuster movie, Transofmers. The games, which release on June 16th, will allow players to choose which side of the robotic war they want to support and fight it out against enemies on the opposing force.

The game will come in two flavors: one for Autobot fans and another version for the Decepticons. Followers of either side will be able to battle it out with players all over the world using the DS's Wi-Fi technology. These multiplayer "AllSpark Wars" will involve daily challenge missions, as well as a worldwide leaderboard for players to compete in.

Those without access to Wi-FI will still have plenty of gameplay options open to them, though. In addition to local wireless support for up to 4 players, there will also be plenty of solo content in the form of 20 story and 20 challenge missions to conquer. Transformers will also be customizable, with over 30 different transformable vehicles to choose from, and unique paintjobs for your Transformer of choice.

The giant robots will be seeing their ways onto other home and handheld formats as well, all of which will be released around the same time as the movie, due to hit cinema screens nationwide on July 4th.
