Due to complications surrounding the Gears of War leaderboards, the Gears of War tournament has been delayed temporarily until Friday.

Late last month, GamePro announced the start of a Gears of War tournament that was to begin on April 9th and end on May 6th. However, a recent announcement from Microsoft states that a technical issue involving the Gears of War leaderboards has delayed the tournament until Friday, April 20th, as both Microsoft and Epic race to fix the problem.
In their statement, Microsoft states that the leaderboard was scheduled to be completely reset starting 12:01 AM GMT on April 9th, but due to an unforeseen problem, the reset never occurred. The problem is currently being examined and corrected, and tournament play will resume starting on Friday, April 20th, "on or about 12:01 AM GMT". Additionally, the tournament has been extended one more week, and will end 11:59 PM GMT on Sunday, May 13th. Tournament registration has also been extended until 11:59 PM GMT on Saturday, May 12th.
The announcement also states that tournament participants will be contacted separately via e-mail with all of the relevant tournament information and date changes. But for those who have not yet signed up for the tournament, all information can be viewed at www.xboxlivetournament.com.
