PlayStation 3 owners have a new outlet for their aggression -- Mortal Kombat II has gone live for download. For $4.99, players can kill each other online to their hearts' content.
The PS3 version includes online versus battles and an online leaderboard; no other new features are evident.
Mortal Kombat II features 12 playable characters, 25 fatalities, and is widely considered to be the most polished game in the series among MK veterans. Though the gameplay is slower and simpler than later entries, the game's production values and ultra-gory fatalities won critical acclaim when it was first introduced back in 1993.
