According to a recent Activision press release, Xbox 360 gamers can now begin downloading the first installment of a series of monthly Guitar Hero II add-ons. This installment brings back nine songs from the original Guitar Hero game, but each track has been adapted specifically for Guitar Hero II's new features to include co-op gameplay with lead, rhythm, and bass guitar options.
These nine tracks have been divided into three packs containing three songs. Individual packs can be purchased for 500 Microsoft Points each. The packs are divided as follows:
Guitar Hero - Track Pack 1
Bark at the Moon (as made famous by Ozzy Osbourne)
Hey You (as made famous by The Exies)
Ace of Spades (as made famous by Motorhead)
Guitar Hero - Track Pack 2
Killer Queen (as made famous by Queen)
Take It Off (as made famous by The Donnas)
Frankenstein (as made famous by The Edger Winter Group)
Guitar Hero - Track Pack 3
Higher Ground (as made famous by Red Hot Chili Peppers)
Infected (as made famous by Bad Religion)
Stellar (as made famous by Incubus)
Additionally, Activision has also added exclusive theme packs that can be purchased for 150 points, as well as gamer pics that can be bought for 100 points.
As this is the first of a series of regular monthly updates, expect more new content sometime within the month of May.
