In the wake of Capcom's announcement that Devil May Cry would no longer be PS3-exclusive, questions arose regarding the exclusive nature of Capcom hits previously released for the Xbox 360, such as Dead Rising and Lost Planet. In a forum post written earlier today, Christian Svensson, Capcom Entertainment's Senior Director of Strategic Planning & Research, confirmed that the company has no plans to make those two titles multiplatform.

"[...]Dead Rising and Lost Planet are not slated to appear on Wii or PS3 as far as current plans go. The reasons for this are quite convoluted and I'm bound by NDAs on these matters so I can't divulge why this is the situation."

Svensson's comment came in response to a forum member who had asked whether Capcom's pledge to make its titles "available to as wide an audience as possible" also meant developing Xbox 360 titles for the PS3. In response, Svensson wrote:

"The quote delivered above references our strategy moving forward, not something that is necessarily retroactive. You can see evidence of this with our previously stated RE5 plans going to 360 and PS3 simultaneously."
