Sony announces that their upcoming game Warhawk will focus exclusively on online multiplayer functions at the cost of single-player gameplay.

Reports from GDC claim that the downloadable PS3 game Warhawk has rid itself of all of its single-player features in favor of creating a multiplayer-exclusive battle arena.

But while the single-player mode has been completely abandoned, Sony has announced a handful of new multiplayer features, including the addition of new combat vehicles. Unlike the series' previous installments, this version will allow you to control not only an aicraft, but also a tank, a jeep, and even infantry units. In addition, the game also features several online modes, such as capture-the-flag, territorial-based warfare, and general free-for-all deathmatches.

Warhawk will be made available for download this fall on the PlayStation Store.
