Reports coming out of GDC have confirmed that release dates for both Blue Dragon and Lost Odyssey have been announced by Mistwalker founder Hironobu Sakaguchi himself. Blue Dragon, which has already been released for the Japanese market, is set to come to the US this August with three separate pieces of downloadable content to be made available over a three-to-four month period following the launch. Reportedly, one of these pieces of content will be a new dungeon. Gaming blog Kotaku also reports that, while the demo they witnessed showed characters speaking in English, Sakaguchi assured them that Japanese dialogue will also be an option available to American gamers.

Mistwalker's second RPG, Lost Odyssey, has been given a preliminary release of the 2007 holiday season, and will hit both the North American and Japanese markets simultaneously. According to reports, Lost Odyssey will be utilizing Epic's Unreal Engine 3.0, and as such, Sakaguchi hopes to have graphics to rival that of Gears of War.

We'll be covering these games in much greater depth very soon. In the meantime, for more info on all of the Xbox 360-exclusive RPGs, you can read our report on Microsoft's panel discussion on the future of RPGs.
