The undisputed master of trance gaming lends his services to XBLA.

Reports scattered across the internet yesterday, claiming that Lumines producer Tetsuya Mizuguchi would reveal a new title that would be released for Xbox Live Arcade. Speculation steered away from the possibility of a new IP, suggesting that the game would be a remake of one of his older titles. Apparently, that speculation has turned out to be right. According to reports at GDC, Mizuguchi's next title will be a port of Every Extend Extra for the PSP, which was, in turn, a port of the original PC freeware game Every Extend.
Called Every Extend Extra Extreme, or E4 for short, Mizuguchi plans on using every millimeter of your widescreen TV to give you the most stunning trance-like visuals capable of being produced by an Xbox 360. He's also adding new features to the game, including an option for online multiplayer play on Xbox Live, online leaderboards, and a set of achievements to add to one's gamerscore.
But most significant of these additions is a game mode called "S4, Wiz ur Muzik", which will allows you the option of customizing the E4 soundtrack with your own music from a CD. (We imagine that a user would also be able to play music stored locally on their hard drives.)
Mizuguchi hasn't revealed any further details regarding price or a preliminary release date, but we'll get you word of that as soon as the information hits the showroom floor.
