This map is little awkward in both single player matches and FFA games. You start this with 50 points of armor each time you spawn and at the base level there is a beam that adds 5 health and 5 armor each second you stand in it. Conceivably you can use this to get 200 health and 200 armor but standing in one spot too long is death in Q3A. Quad/Regeneration/Invisibility spawn point is on the lower level amid a series of tight short halls, if you get the Quad in this area make sure to cut back splash damage weapon usage. The Heavy Armor is on the highest level opposite to the Lightning Gun. There are two units of Armor, one in the hall near the beam and another behind the Power-Up spawn point near the Lightning Gun. The Rocket Launcher is on the lower level across from the beam, rocket ammo is in abundance so you shouldn?t have any problems staying stocked. The Plasma Gun is on the mid level across from the statue in the wall. The Lightning Gun is on the upper level opposite to the Heavy Armor.
The bots here are going to be pretty tough on the hard settings, not because of their skill but due to the shear crowd they bring to this cramped map. Tank Jr., Angel, and Wrack will compose the bot posse you?ll have to smack down. These bots will flock in the lower levels to battle it out, your best bet is to pound the lot of the them with rockets as you secure the lower levels. The Quad/Regeneration/Invisibility spawn is completely random, so camping that area isn?t necessarily worth the effort. Unlike human players the bots won?t punish you for standing on the heal beam, they will shoot at you, but rarely with the intent of pushing you into the lava. The best way to handle the bots is to secure armor from above and then descend into the base areas with the Rocket Launcher.
Human opponents will flock near the armor units and the lower level to secure the Power-Ups and Rocket Launcher. If you see someone camping the heal beam, try to angle a rocket to bounce them into the lava, keep this risk in mind when camping the beam yourself. This map has too many turns to keep the shaft of the Lightning Gun trained on someone for an extended period of time, thus the Plasma Gun and the Rocket Launcher will be the dominate tools of choice.
