Ready teh Rumble: Fight Night 3 Strat Guide!

In the career mode, take the extra time in between bouts and play the training mini games. You prize fighter will develop much more quickly if you take the time to do so. Stick-n-move. Bob-n-weave. Use the entire ring. Half the battle is saving your energy for focused, targeted punches. Learn to egg your opponent on, draw instability using your parry, then knock the shit out of him. Repeat.

Use the cut man. Only the lazy -ass will use the auto heal button. Taking 30 seconds to repair facial damage will keep your pugilist that much stronger in the ring. You'll thank yourself if the fight goes into the later rounds. If you happen to be, or resemble Octagon - a button-mashing punk-ass, then get some skills or go back to Super Smash Bros.

Always know what your opponent's weaknesses and strengths are. If you are fighting Ali (someone who is faster than your boxer), don't try to out jab them - go for counter power punches and try to parry as much as you can. Also, know each boxer's stats at the character selection screen, if your opponent has low chin - go for headshots, if low body - go for body shots. Always try to attack the weakness. Try to throw alot of Jabs. If you are faster than your opponent, throw never ending jabs to their face. Jabs will start to build up damage over time as well as cause cuts which pretty much make them lose all defenses.

Try not to rely on the super-punch. Failed super punches wear you out very fast and if your super punch gets parried you will be dazed for a very long time. Use a super body punch out of nowhere every once in a while to try and catch your opponent off guard. When you play with someone besides Frazier and are getting pummeled, say you really need to catch the train and run out of the building with your tail between your legs. This is a specific strategy perfected by Vicious Sid.

If you get dazed, immediately put your guard up and back away. A lot of people will try to end it fast right after you get dazed by tossing in a super punch, if you can parry it or block the initial attack, it shouldn't be a problem locking up to save yourself. Most players have a favorite side they like to throw punches from. Figure out what side their hooks and uppercuts are coming from and be sure to always start off blocking from that side. You will be sure to get lots of parries.

If you go by the name of Smak or HamsterForSale don't pick up the controller, it's hopeless. If you are Beefcake, don't even come near the room... Know when to back off when things turn into a street fight. There will be times when all of your jabbing and weaving are thrown out the window and it turns into a slugfest. I know this is fun, but if you want to win - back off if you get out blocking/countering rhythm. Don't be Roy Jones Jr. He sucks.

Don't be predictable with your punches. If your opponents know what's coming they'll be ready to counter your every move. Throw lots of jabs and punches that won't hurt you too bad if you miss to see how your opponent tries to counter it. Once you see a pattern throw the same punches, be ready to counter, and knock'em out! This never fails against some certain noob-ish opponents here. You know who you are.

Don't ever panic if you're losing the round and try to slug it out recklessly. You're already losing which means you will be more susceptible to getting dazed than your opponent. When you're dazed and you manage to parry your opponents punch, only go for the counter haymaker instead of the grab in two situations. One, you're 100% sure you can land the haymaker. Two, you're losing so bad that even getting out from being dazed will not help, so you need to turn the tide with a lucky knock down now.

When you knock someone down for the first time, or basically beat the crap out of your opponent, or clearly dominate that round technically, drop your controller to the ground, then throw your best shadow box combination say... "It's so pretty, so pretty!!!" I don't know what psychological affect it has on your opponent, but it makes me feel unbeatable and best of all, I get a big ass kick out of it! =)
