Halo 2 Taboos

Super Jumps

So-called "super jumps" are becoming a common sight in online matchmaking thanks to online tutorials and word-of-mouth. It's a shame, too, because Bungie never intended for these exploits to be discovered. The "super jumps" are hidden, undocumented spots that allow a player to reach otherwise uncharted sniper spots atop the highest peaks of each level. It throws off the entire balance of a match, as unsuspecting players can get sniped from unreachable heights.

Hiding Behind the Teleporter

In short, it's cheap, mostly because scoring a melee attack against a foe's backside nets you an easy one-hit kill. The teleporter exploit was more rampant in the original Halo, but every now and then you'll still get assassinated by some ass clown who can't resist the thrill of a cheap, talentless kill. Not cool, Zeus. Not cool.

Weapon Hoarding

Weapon hoarding is frowned upon, but if the offender is racking up mass kills for your team, it is sometimes overlooked. But worse is when a crappy player hoards two premium weapons (such as the Rocket Launcher and the Sniper Rifle) and proceeds to get waxed, handing the goods over to the opposing team with barely a fight. That's cause for ejection. Sorry dude, but it's just so easy to hold down the "X" button.
