Chrono Cross Walkthrough, Part 3

Every now and then everyone needs a helping hand and that's just what we're here for! We've tailored this guide to cut as many spoilers out as possible, so feel free to browse and enjoy.

Remains of Dead Sea
Player can enter any of the three Fate Distortions. The only difference will be which goddess the player will have to battle. Visit all three islands in any order and touch the crystals to activate the fight. The last island visited determines which goddess the player will fight.

  • Past Island: Goddess Vita Tres
  • Present Island: Goddess Vita Unus
  • Future Island: Goddess Vita Duo After the battle, the wall of water will disappear.

    Time Fortress Chronopolis
    The player must fight PolisPolice . The player then must go down the trap door in the first room and operate the switch to slide the first platform. Then operate the Robo-Sewer-Wash to open the chests and operate the switch on the other side of the pool to connect the remaining half of the platform. Go up the stairs on the other side. Player must take the stairs to reach 2F. Player can pick up Forget-me-not pot under the stairs. In 2F, player will be confronted with a locked door (where enemy comes up from under the floor), take the exit opposite the locked door. Go inside the room on 2F main floor and release lock by touching the glowing light in the console in the back of the room.

  • If player goes back to the stairs, the locked room will be open and player can find Grobyc's Lv. 7 element in the box. To open the safe, player must close the open hatch and enter 00 as the code. Player will receive Rechargex5.

    When the player reaches 4F, the scientists will say they can't start the tests until their chief is back. The player must then go down to the stairs and talk to the scientist to find out where the chief is. Go down to the docks and talk to the chief. After that, the scientists blocking the door will be gone and player will be able to enter room, battle Combot, and take Card Key from the chest.

    With Card Key in hand, player can fight Fate at B1.

    Divine Dragon Falls A
    If the player sets Tear of Hate and Tear of Love on the altar, player will receive Chrono Cross. Steena needs to be in the party.

  • With Chrono Cross in hand, player can unlock the door at The Bend of Time and fight the three Mystical Knights (player can trap Iceberg). If Sprigg is equipped with the Forget-me-not pot from Chronopolis, and delivers the last blow to each Knight, they will become part of Sprigg's Dopplegang ability, The mini-game after is random, the prize is Dreamer's Sarong, which allows the player to start in battle at Lv. 8.
  • The following will only work if the player is continuing a previously completed game. If player goes to time warp in Hydra Marshes H, player can warp to Sprigg's house and use Chrono Cross to reunite with all characters from previous games.
  • If player takes Irenes to the first house in Marbule H (when it is being rebuilt) and talks to the witch doctor, Irenes will receive her Lv. 7 element.

    Remains of Hermit's Shed A
    Kid is trapped in her past. Player must use Chrono Cross and go to Kid's past.

  • If the player saves the children, the children will reward the player with items. There are five kids in all (under tables, beds, behind plants). After being saved from her past, Kid will rejoin the party.

    Viper Manor A
    Player can receive Lucca's letter to Kid from Luccia.

  • Bottom of the El Nido Triangle A
    The player must fight Royal Jelly . Starky must be in the party to activate UFO, which is necessary to reach Terra Tower.

    Terra Tower
    The player must explore the tower and defeat Terrator , Pyrotor , and Anemotor in order to proceed. The player must then defeat Gravitor , and Luxator , to release the gate's seal. The player will then have to battle Aquator , before the first battle with Time Devourer .

    Opassa Beach H
    Final battle with Time Devourer will occur with multiple endings possible.
