Hydra can be tough if you don't fight the common enemies in the marsh and stock up on Bush Basher Elements. If you have a heavy stock of Bush Basher Elements you should put him down with out a problem. His main attacks do a lot of damage and his Element will broadside your whole party, so avoid using Elements like Magnify. Once you wear him down he will weaken your party and strengthen his defense, just keep hammering him with Green Elements to finish him off.
