The Hi-Ho gang isn't hard at all if you focus your initial volley of attacks at their leader Dwarf. With Dwarf out of the way they won't be able to use Hi-Ho Chorus and you should have an easy time picking the other two off with Green Elements. At this point you should tailor your party to battle with Green Elements for the fight with Hydra ahead.
