Bunyip has two forms, the first is a complete push over, weak to Blue Elements, and the final form is a huge Black innate severely weak to White Elements. You can trap Free Fall from Bunyip's second form so again, make sure to hit Marbule and stock up on traps. Garnering Free Fall this early in the game is worth holding back for, let Bunyip wail on you until he casts it and then slam him with White Elements (especially the Holy Light recently trapped from Sun Of A Gun).
