The rapper sheds light on the recently released Bulletproof, the first game based on his own life.
Bulletproof is finally out, and we were lucky enough to nail down a quick chat with 50 Cent himself about games, including the rapper's influence on the development process of 50 Cent: Bulletproof. Enjoy!
GamePro: First off, what are your favorite games?
50 Cent: Bulletproof of course. Other than that, old school games like Tetris and Pac Man.
GP: Would you ever consider endorsing a non-action game like On the Mic or a racing/streetball game?
50: Absolutely.
GP: We understand that you're involved with the folks at Gamer Graffix, the world's largest manufacturer of console skins. How did you get involved in the world of Gamer Graffix?
50: With the video game Bulletproof coming out, it was a no brainer. But more than that, the team behind Gamer Graffix is incredible. I knew being associated with them would be a successful business move.
GP: Do you consider yourself a hardcore gamer? What are your current favorite games?
50: I don't know that I would say I am hardcore, but I definitely enjoy my video games. There is a lot of down time out on tour, and when I'm not working on new ideas, the game gives me a bit of a distraction and mental break from work. Of course my current favorite game is Bulletproof.
GP: How much input did you have on Bulletproof's gameplay? Did the developer Genuine Games ever make any changes based on your feedback?
50: A lot of input. In the development stages I would suggest various things and Vivendi Universal was always willing to listen and make changes if needed.
GP: What's your favorite aspect of Bulletproof? Do you have any favorite weapons in the game?
50: I think they did a great job with the characters...actually, with everything. And having so much music available on the game has never been done before.
GP: Lastly, what do you think about the upcoming next-generation consoles: The Xbox 360, the PlayStation 3, and Nintendo's Revolution? Are you rooting for any of them in particular?
50: Nah, I like them all.
