The instruction manual briefly lists each girl?s stats, but doesn?t really
go into detail what those ratings mean. Each girl falls into one of 4 main
categories and through the use of this chart, you can plan the most effective
strategy for each potential pairing.
Mastering the jump serve is the most rewarding with Tina and Hitomi. You?ll
get a high percentage of knocking down the receiver with a perfectly hit serve.
Knock down?s will happen at random sometimes, but mostly when a character jumps
up too late for block or the spiker has a high knock down rating. A high rating
in this category increases the chance of blowing back an opponent, but not
guarantee it.
Determines how extreme an angle a spike can take. Characters like Ayane and
Kasumi can direct spikes with much greater ease.
Spiking far away from the net is always a bad idea unless you have a high attack
range rating like Kasumi.
Quick sets can be troublesome for opponents cause they catch them by surprise.
You can plan one in advance by hitting
A high rating in this category makes it more likely that your player will place
the ball in an area unreachable by either rival.
The best defense against a powerful spiker that has mastered the jump serve
is a player with a receive skills. This makes the most difference when playing
against human foes.
