If you love good controllers, the folks at Mad Catz have got your back with the best accessories known to mankind!
Any hardcore gamer knows that Mad Catz controllers are a thing of beauty. From life-size guitars to beautifully made arcade-style joystick decks, Mad Catz is probably the only manufacturer in the world that cares about gaming controllers as much as they care about their fans. Yes, these are the same people that brought gamers those wonderful, orgasmically comfortable Street Fighter IV Fight Sticks from earlier this year, and they've got a new line-up of gear for all you Beatles: Rock Band roadies and Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 grunts. This isn't everything Mad Catz has in store -- not by a long shot -- but it's enough that we're already drooling over the merchandise.
First, we'll go over the guitars, or more specifically, the Rock Band accessories that hit shelves just yesterday to coincide with the release of The Beatles: Rock Band. Mad Catz's Alex Verrey (Global PR Head Honcho) and Michael Greco (VP of Marketing) were on hand in GamePro's rock room to show us their fall headliners, and they looked so sweet.
(Quick Note: Mad Catz's new Rock Band guitars have awesomely fast pickup, so you'll want to re-calibrate those suckers the minute you get them.)
Rock Band Fender Precision Bass Replica ($89.99)
Get a load of Mad Catz's very first Sony-licensed Rock Band accessory; ain't she a beauty?
In retrospect, I have no idea what took Sony so long to come 'round the horn, but Mad Catz finally has their first "officially licensed" accessory for Rock Band on the PlayStation 3, the Fender Precision Bass Guitar. It's got all the hallmarks of a good plastic guitar, like an improved, bass-appropriate "Up/Down" strum bar, which should let you speed demons catch up with the game on those ridiculously tough Expert Mode tracks. That means this handy wireless starter set should let you handle any Beatles song with ease, and the murderous heavy metal tracks on Rock Band 2 (yeah, you know what I'm talking about, Megadeth fans).
Oh, did I mention that it comes in Sea Foam Green, White, and (as seen here) 'Hot Rod Red?
Does it Rock? Well, I definitely have to admit that the Fender Precision Bass Guitar's grip feels smooth and just hefty enough for both old and new rockers alike, and I really dig the improved silicone supports behind the fret buttons: It makes the guitar feels less janky than most Rock Band pieces.
Alex Verrey of Mad Catz dangles a huge carrot in front of me as I salivate over the brand-new Fender Bass Replica.
Mad Catz Marketing VP Michael Greco shows us some of the detail on this bad boy. Oh yeah. That looks goooood.

lol I don't get what so great about these at all, if they play as well as the packaged guitar and it's just for looks and show off.
I get that it could be a collectors item but dang almost 100 bucks.

I would love to get my hands one a couple of the Street Fighter Arcade Sticks. WOULD ABSOLUTELY LOVE IT!!! To bad they are so hard to get a hold of, and so pricey. Okay, I'll settle down. Those CODMW2 controllers look awesome as well. I would love to get one of those. Good work Mad Catz

Probably a good call. But to be honest, I have no complaints with the 360 D-pad. I have been playing a lot of Street Fighter Alpha 2 on the Sega Saturn. I even ordered the arcade stick for it. Today I threw in SF 4 for the 360, and played. The controls were buttery smooth and responsive. I had no complaints. I'm not saying it doesn't suck. But I just haven't had any problems.
