#6: Zelda's Next Game Goes on Wii

Okay, so Miyamoto's said that top men are working on a new Zelda game (he's been teasing us about in since E3 2007), but we just saw Spirit Tracks not too long ago, and that's just not going to cut it for Nintendo's not so impressive lack of new first-party titles. We're pretty sure that Eiji Aonuma's recent commitment to a "super top secret Wii project" means big things for the franchise and we'll probably see and hear something at E3. Besides, what better use is there for the Wii MotionPlus than more Master Sword action?

Give us Zelda or give us death!

#5: Halo 3: ODST Goes Hands-On

Everyone's itching to get their hands on this game, and Halo 3: ODST is already shaping up to be as epic as the base material. We'll miss Master Chief, but this rookie game's probably going to win us over. Besides, only an imminent, planet-crushing meteor can stop the franchise that gave Xbox Live its name and reputation. Ahem. Anyway, we know a lot about the game and we like everything that we hear. Bungie's big game is definitely going to be at the show (they'd be fools to withhold it!), and E3 2009 is the best place for Bungie to let people get their mitts on it.

Don't forget, Halo 3 (which is probably the most wanted Xbox 360 game out there) is practically one of the only exclusive titles that Microsoft has left. You can't expect that Halo will be absent from the Xbox 360's E3 lineup. That's like having a sexy boat party with no women and non-alcoholic beer.

#4: New "Wii (Insert Noun/Activity Here)" Does/Doesn't Embarrass Hardcore Nintendo Fans

Recently, it's been Nintendo's modus operandi to announce a new Wii game at every major gaming convention, and at this point we can only hope for something that isn't a repeat of the weird mixed bag that was Wii Music. (Editorial Assistant McKinley Noble still claims it's the worst thing he's ever seen compressed into a DVD.) Heck, anything would be an improvement over last year's E3 stage showing from Nintendo. You can bet Miyamoto's wife could even grace the stage herself with a collection Wii games for the casual crowd, and the industry would still adore it.

So, let's see: Sports, Play, Fitness, Chess and Music. Well, Wii Sports Resort is already on the way, but that can't be it. Anyone else thinking "Wii Family Party"?

I have a feeling this is going to be one of the best E3s ever... Modern Warfare 2, God of War III, Metal Gear 5... I rest my case.

Pikmin 3 would rock too.

And although I'm 99.99% sure it won't happen, news on the next Halo game (besides the epic ODST) would blow everything else out of the water for me.

thats the way the cookie crumbles, Crunch40. lol. i didnt see anything really 360ish for any websites about E3. Although everything right now is speculation. only thing i know of cuz its shoved down our throats is Halo: Old Dude Still Tryin. lol.

LMFAO @ halo fanboys!! Dudes halo died a looooooong time ago, this E3 is all aboout Modern Warfare 2 and Metal Gear Solid 5 , oh and dont forget Zelda its still an awesome game even though the Nintendo WII sucks mad donkey balls..... a new psp?!?!?! bah sounds like sony wants to get some more money so they can pay the big hole ps3 left them .... as far as halo goes pls dont crap all over the storyline

If I am playing as Raiden in the next Metal Gear you can forget it. Why can't we just except that Raiden is a side character. Metal Gear 2 was the worst of all of them. Why you ask? Because you play as Raiden the whole game! This is like going to see a Batman movie and the whole movie they are following around Aquaman. GAY!
