How to Download Nintendo DS Demos

Downloading game demos and videos on your Nintendo DS is easy - just follow these four steps!

Before you put down hard earned cash for a game, it's safe to say that you want to know if it's any good or not. Thankfully, Nintendo offers a service for DS owners that allows you to download game demos onto your handheld via one of their many Download Stations, so you can try before you by! Still a bit lost? Simply follow the rules in this guide, and we'll have you play-testing in no time!

- Locate a store in your neighborhood that has a Nintendo DS Download Station. Participating stores include EB Games, Best Buy, and even McDonalds. If you're not sure if your store of choice has a DS Download Station, give them a call to make sure.

- Once you've gotten to your destination of choice, boot up your DS. Bypass the "Health and Safety Precautions" screen by tapping the touchscreen, and wait for the DS's main menu screen to pop up.

- On the main menu, select the DS Download Play option. From here, the DS will try and find any available wireless Wi-Fi signals projected from the DS Download Station. This may take a few minutes, but be patient! If you have trouble picking up a signal, make sure that you're at a close enough range - ideally, within 50 feet of the Download Station.

- Once your DS has locked onto a signal, the DS Download Station icon should appear. Select it. Now, your DS is hooked up directly to the DS Download Station. Wait a few seconds while the DS Download Station populates your screen with a list of downloadable titles. When you find what you want, tap on the icon to download it.

Also, be sure to keep in mind that when you turn off your DS, you lose the game demo that you were playing. But if you like what you saw, you can always pick up the full version at a game shop (or website) near you.
