From savagely tearing out the beating hearts of your enemies to snapping them in two like a Kit Kat bar, we count down the twenty-six best ways to kill creatively in MadWorld.
READ: GamePro's 4.5 out of 5 star review of MadWorld here!
By now, it's no secret that MadWorld packs on the blood and guts in a big way, which is good news for Wii-owners like myself who are sick of all the family friendly titles the console is oversaturated with to the point where they could split open Mario's fleshy-belly with and hunting knife and bathe in his soupy innards. No?
While MadWorld's Sin City-esque art style, its gritty, over-the-top graphic novel presentation, and its colorful cast of enemies are definitely some of its selling points, MadWorld is predominantly a celebration of video game mutilation. The game takes the general idea of a game fatality (as seen in Mortal Kombat), where the player is empowered with the ability to deliver the coup de grace in a way where they get to decide how their enemies meet their end, and takes it fifty steps further.
Read on as I highlight the most insanely gruesome ways to kill enemies in MadWorld for the Wii.
#26: Snap Enemies in Half
With this vicious move, you can force an enemy literally to kiss their own ass as you break them in two at the spine. The foul stench of their own rear end will be the last thing running through their mind before they perish. What a way to go.
#25: Use Enemies as Bullets with the Magnetic Gun
The magnetic gun you can pick up on the spaceship stage allows you to suck metallic-armored foes into your weapon and use their bodies as living ammunition, firing them at anything you want. I recommend roasting them in the level's white-hot rocket engines. Toasty!
#24: Shatter Eddie's Skull with Spiked Ball and Chain
Despite looking like Andre the Giant's big brother, Little Eddie has the mental intellect of an onion and you can use this to topple the overgrown baddie. Once you whittle down Ed's health, beat him in the face with his own spiked ball and you'll eventually replace his entire head with the medieval weapon.
#23: Stomp Bodies into Mush
You can perform this ruthless fatality on zombies and other legless enemies crawling on the floor. You'll crush them under your boot like a soggy, putrefied jack-o-lantern. Yeah, Jack really is one heartless son of a bitch.
#22: Rend Flesh via Dual-Bladed Chainsaw
After completing MadWorld's story mode, you unlock two new killer weapons--one of them is the double chainsaw the hulking, horned enemies lug around. While Jack's default chainsaw weapon is certainly no Fisher Price toy, just one swipe with the double chainsaw will grind an enemy up into bloodied bits in a matter of seconds.
#21: Impale Repeatedly on Spikes
Many of the levels in MadWorld have walls with giant, nasty, skin-piercing spikes jutting out of them. Bring a stunned foe close to a spiked wall and puncture holes in them before permanently sticking them on one of the barbs.
#20: Incinerate in Flaming Garbage Can
Instead of merely throwing burning trash cans at enemies, you should go for a much more satisfying kill by hoisting an enemy into the air and then dunking them into the blazing garbage. It's the cheapest and most demeaning form of cremation.
#19: Break Heads Off
This finishing move makes the act of snapping someone's neck seem merciful. Instead of executing the aforementioned deathblow, in MadWorld you can savagely twist enemies' heads so hard that arterial blood gushes out of them as you rip their ugly head right out of its socket.

We have to support this kind of software if we want to see more like it, and it's getting great reviews and looks fun! How can you go wrong?! Like Nike said, JUST DO IT!

Looks a lot like Sin City. A lot. A lot..... But looks good and I might actually pick up this game, after I beat all the games I already have.
