7- Okami Water Art Board
Clover Studio's Okami is an adventure game set around drawing things in the sky, so it makes sense that Capcom would give this water art board out to gamers who pre-ordered the original PlayStation 2 version. The thing's pretty nifty; you can draw on it with the included waterbrush and when it dries, your drawing disappears -- making it infinitely reusable.
6- Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin Soundtrack, Art Book, DS Stylus
If you pre-ordered Castlevania: Portrait of Ruin on DS, you know all about this collection of sweet pre-order goodness. Those who pre-ordered got a Castlevania soundtrack CD, 40-plus-page art book and Castlevania DS stylus. Not bad at all.
5- Metal Gear Saga Vol. 1
Re-releasing games is often an annoying practice, but it's a little more justified when it means a chance to get our hands on a collector's item like this. This DVD was given to those who pre-ordered Metal Gear Solid 3: Subsistence. It's a must-have for Metal Gear Solid fans, featuring an in-depth, narrated re-telling of the Metal Gear Solid saga, from beginning-to-end. Also included are extras such as a documentary-style interview with series creator Hideo Kojima.
4- Gears of War 2 Remote Control Tank
This remote control Gears of War 2 Centaur tank was given away by Best Buy to those who pre-ordered the Limited Edition of Gears of War 2. It's a fitting pre-order bonus for Epic's "bigger, better and more badass" sequel. The only downside is apparently it doesn't function so well. It's a freebie, though, so we can't complain.
3- Extra Guitar Hero: World Tour Guitar for Free
Guitar Hero is a game that's all about multiplayer. But it can be expensive gathering enough instruments so that you can have a full band playing. For those who pre-ordered the "super bundle" of Guitar Hero: World Tour in the UK, though, the process was made a little cheaper. Everyone who pre-ordered got a free wireless bass guitar.
2- Banjo-Kazooie on XBLA for Free
How is this for a deal? If you pre-ordered Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts for Xbox 360, you got a free XBLA version of the original Banjo-Kazooie, complete with enhanced high-res visuals. Indeed, this pre-order incentive is one of the best of all time.
1- The Legend of Zelda: Master Quest
There is one pre-order bonus that is decidedly the best -- the king of all pre-order incentives, you could say. We're talking about The Legend of Zelda: Master Quest, which was given to those who pre-ordered The Wind Waker for GameCube. Master Quest is best described as an alternative version of Ocarina of Time, running on the same engine but featuring redesigned dungeons. Pre-order bonuses often come in the form of swag or collectibles, but if you truly want to win over gamers, give them a remix of one of the greatest games of all time.

I got the zelda master quest disc, that was a cool pre-order freebie. I wish they had done the guitar for WT, I could use that!

The appearance of Rare's Banjo-Kazooie remind me of something. When will there be another DK game, I'm not talking about like the conga drum crap, I mean a genuine DK adventure. The old SNES games were awsome! DK 64 was pretty wicked, but are we going to see any in the near future?

How about the Soul Calibur II cel art and t-shirt, or the t-shirt and wall scroll for Ninja Gaiden?

You probably won't for a long time. Rare and Nintendo (from what I understand) parted on bad terms. I'm not sure who owns what, but Nintendo owns a part of donkey kong (I'm not sure if it's the name or the "story" for a lack of better word, but I believe it's the franchise name) and Rare owns the other part.
