Killzone 2 drops on the PlayStation 3 like a nuclear warhead on February 27th, but we thought we'd share one part of the game with you that's just too cool to not give some major props to... and that's the game's insane arsenal of weapons. Killzone 2's boomstick discharges a deadly blast capable of taking down even some of the more advanced Helghast units. This machine gun, which is wielded by the more elite class of Helghast infantry, fires more rounds per second than your gas-masked enemies' standard issue assault rifle, making it a better choice on the battlefield. Its accuracy and easy-to-handle nature make it ideal for sawing enemies in half, especially when you're moving quickly from one area to the next.

You know how in cheesy kung-fu movies people unrealistically fly backwards when they're kicked hard enough? Well, you can make them do that with this gun.

Weapon: VC21 Bolt Gun

Damage it deals from a single shot: High
Fire this bad boy at any part of an enemy's body and a giant metal bolt will eject out of its muzzle, stapling their carcass to the nearest wall with its tremendous force like a toy doll being impaled by a whale-killing harpoon. It's almost always a good idea to swap out the weapon you're holding with the VC21 Bolt Gun when you come across this rare gun.

Blind firing adversaries with the sniper rifle can be an effective way to terminate enemies with a single bullet, but you should only attempt it in close range combat situations.

While considerably tricky to master, the sniper rifle is critical to claiming victory in long-range shootouts. It may not be appropriate for certain situations, like when you need to act fast to rid an area of Helghast scum. It also may take a while before you get used to aiming the weapon, but the good news is that it's so overwhelmingly devastating that nailing enemy soldiers in the dome isn't always necessary to kill them.

I got the code at Gamestop for "the entire sheet of notebook paper spitball super weapon"

apparently it's the most powerful weapon in the game... I can't wait!

i doubt it buddy. remember the weapons in halo are design to take out enemy shields, powerful alien species and vehicles. And since the enemies in KZ2 are apparently weaker in nature, the guns will most likely be as powerful as say the SMG in Halo. There is no doubt that a spartan can wipe out a kz2 squad unit with ease.

I cant wait for this game. All xbox 360 fanboys have to gloat about is halo 3 and left 4 dead. I didnt even like gears of war 2. PS3 fanboys have this game, God of War 3, Infamous, Resistance 1 and 2, Motorstrom 1 and 2, Uncharted 1 and 2, Haze, and Heavenly Sword. What's not to like about PS3? It's got better graphics, its a bluray player and can play regular DVDs too, it's got a crapload of better exclusives, and its online is free. It's only 100 dollars more than an xbox 360, and if then that's your reason not to buy, because it's expensive, get a better paying job.

I really liked haze. I also liked their creator, Free Radical. Unfortunatly they went outta business. I was also a big follower of the timesplitters series. But hey, some people love Naruto (no offense, i just think its stupid) so we all have different taste.

I wasn't reffereing to the actual weapons but the two games. Simply put Killzone 2 WILL be better than any Halo game. It looks though that u are only eleven and I dont blame u for not grasping on the actual context of what i was trying to say. Your age also explains y u have a 360 and not a PS3 (a silly adolescent mistake) Anyways, as we all do, u will grow up and learn from ur mistakes.
