Must Have Movie Gifts (page 4 of 4)

There's nothing we love more than curling up on the couch with a good movie; there's no better way to relax. We scoured the new release shelves and came up with a giant list of the must have DVDs and Blu-rays for the upcoming holiday season; we also threw in three essential movie related gifts as well to help turn your life into a movie paradise.

Re-Creating the Theater Experience:

Movietickets.com Gift Card

Okay, there's no doubt that going to the movies isn't what it once was. Thanks to advances in home theater technology, it's possible to closely replicate the movie theater experience at home. But sometimes, you just have to head to the local metroplex to get the full "movie watching" experience. We love our HDTV and 5.1 surround sound system but for some movies, like the new Bond, we'll be heading to the local theater. This is why we hope someone gets us a gift card from Movietickets.com soon. It's a fast and easy way to get tickets and we won't have to hassle with waiting in line.

Epson Power Lite Home Cinema Projector

You already know how much we love HDTVs; a big screen LCD capable of displaying a 1080p picture is essential for any home. But for those of you who have the space and the room to make it work, a projector can be just as compelling, especially if you watch a lot of movies. It takes a bit of work to get a home projector up and running-you need a screen, proper lighting, a dedicated audio system and plenty of room-but the results can be worth it. If you are interested in going with a projector, then make sure you look at the Epson Power Lite; this sweet projector can display a true 1080p picture and just might give your HDTV a major inferiority complex.

Samsung HT-AS720ST Home Theater System

Most televisions these days come with decent enough speakers but for the full on movie watching experience, you really need a dedicated home theater setup. The Samsung HT-S720ST has everything you need to recreate the theater experience at home--it's got powerful 5.1 surround sound speakers and a Blu-ray player; hook one of these bad boys up to your nice big HDTV, pop in a Blu-ray, turn down the lights and let the movie magic begin. www.samsung.com

The Ultimate Theater Seat

Your couch may be comfortable but when it comes to watching movies, nothing can beat the Ultimate Theater Seat. These movie theater quality seats are made out of leather and have cup holders. It's exactly like being at the movie theater except without the sticky floors and the babies crying during the best parts. Get an entire row, invite some friends over and have a great time; just don't forget to charge admission. www.cinemashop.com

Whirley Pop

When was the last time you had popcorn at home that didn't come out of a bag? Yeah, we thought so. Sure, microwave popcorn is convenient and easy but if you're going to truly have a movie night, you have to do it right and pop some real corn on the stovetop. The Whirley Pop's been around forever, and for good reason: it just works. Throw in some corn and some oil and you're a few minutes away from hot airy deliciousness. So put that microwave popcorn back in the pantry and make everyone's favorite movie snack the way it was meant to be made.

Bacon Salt

Now that you've popped your popcorn, you need to consider flavoring options. Regular salt is classic but a little staid; butter is awesome but a bit predictable. For our money, nothing beats the smoky richness of bacon, so that's why we sprinkle Bacon Salt on our popcorn. It lets us enjoy the awesome of our favorite pork by-product while enjoying the low-calorie benefits of air-popped popcorn; just be careful how much you use because a little goes a long way. www.baconsalt.com

Darkstorn

Haha. Nice product placement. I also have yet to get a 'next-gen' console.

eday_2010

Cool list. Though "hardcore gamer" is just another term for someone who has nothing better to do with their life.

hiphophippy27

Yeah, nice list. I'm definitely going to get some of these things, such as the iPhone 3G and the DARK Night in FABULOUS Blu-ray

doyleman7

How rich do you think I am? Awesome list, but a new TV, a car, an iphone? gawd, good thing I don't have to buy them all!

Your_Worst_Nightmare
